To commemorate the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth, the Butler University School of Music is presenting the complete 32 Piano Sonatas in a series of nine recitals. Throughout 2020, Beethoven celebrations are happening at venues all around the world, and Butler is proud to present this series as part of the international festivities.

Sonata No. 1 in F Minor, op. 2, no. 1, performed by Robert Satterlee, Bowling Green State University
Sonata No. 2 in A Major, op. 2, no. 2, performed by Kent Cook, Illinois Wesleyan University
Sonata No. 21 in C Major, op. 53 (“Waldstein”), performed by Shuai Wang, Cleveland Institute of Music
